SKIN
MY
Under My Skin is a piece about how humans and artists are constantly auditioning in life to be seen and to fit in. We audition to belong on social media, in relationships, or even to align with the opinions of those in power. In the process of trying to fit in, we lose touch with our inner creature, our true selves. The piece features an actual creature, representing the reflection of who we are and what we carry inside. Inspired by life itself, Under My Skin reminds us that, one way or another, our inner creature will appear, revealing our true value and colors. Under My Skin was first choreographed for the dancers of Kansas City Ballet II in 2024. In 2025, it became one of the winners of the YAGP Creative Fellowship, leading to a new creation for the students of São Paulo School of Dance in Brazil.
